What moves the price of social media management
Four things set the monthly price: the number of channels, the number of posts, whether video is part of it, and whether we also run paid ads.
Every extra channel needs its own formats. A post made for Instagram rarely fits LinkedIn unchanged. More channels mean more work, even when the topic stays the same.
Video moves the price most. A photo with text is made at a desk. A video has to be filmed and edited. That is why packages with video sit well above those with posts alone.
What management includes
Each month you get a plan of what gets posted when. We create the posts in the formats we agree and publish them on a fixed schedule. At the end of the month you get a short report.
What each package covers is in the overview further down and later in your quote. The minimum term and notice period are on the pricing page.
What often costs extra
The budget for paid ads is not part of any package. You pay it to the platform, not to us. On Meta, meaning Facebook and Instagram, you set a daily budget, for example. Meta's help pages call it an average, not a hard cap: on single days Meta may spend up to 75% more, but in a week no more than seven times the daily budget.
Filming is included only where the package says so. The same goes for replying to comments and messages. Ask before you sign: who replies when a customer asks a question under a post?
Unlimited photo or filming visits are not included either. How many visits are covered is in your quote.
What you still do yourself
An agency takes planning, writing and publishing off your hands. It does not know your business from the inside, though. Good posts need something from you: a photo from the job, a question customers often ask, a date that is coming up.
Set aside some time each month for material and approvals. Then the posts look like your business and not like a stock library.
If that time is short too, start with one channel. Pick the one your customers use.
Comparing social media quotes
You can only compare quotes that name the same things: channels, number of posts, formats. A price without them says little.
Ask every provider the same questions.
- How many channels and how many posts a month are included?
- Is video part of it, and who films it?
- Who replies to comments and messages?
- Who owns the profiles, and do I keep every login?
- How long is the minimum term, and how do I cancel?
Your checklist
- Decide which channel matters first.
- Compare quotes by channels, posts and formats.
- Settle who replies to comments and messages.
- Plan the ad budget separately.
- Plan time for material and approvals.
Your next step
Compare the packages in the price overview, or tell us which channels you have and what goes out there today. You get in writing first what is included.
